Bredeson Outdoor Adventure is offering a day of guided woods to farm to table snowshoeing (or hiking) in Pocantico Hills. We'll start at Rockwood Hall, the ruins of an old estate on the Hudson River, experience the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail, and pass through the Rockefeller State Park Preserve to arrive at lovely Blue Hill at Stone Barns for a delicious farm to table lunch.
Join Bredeson Outdoor Adventures for a four day, three night guided hut to hut snowshoeing tour in the wilderness region of Western Maine. By day we’ll snowshoe from one hut to the next through a lovely and varied countryside. Our adventure takes place in a region where a system of people-powered trails connects backcountry eco-lodges. When the network is complete, it will stretch nearly 200 miles from near the New Hampshire border to the Moosehead Lake region.
Bredeson Outdoor Adventures is offering a day of guided snowshoeing in Washington and Warren, Connecticut. We’ll meet at Hopkins Vineyard and shuttle five minutes to Macricostas Preserve and snowshoe up to the Pinnacle to admire the dramatic view of Lake Waramaug. We'll enjoy lunch and lake views upstairs in the warmth of the vineyard's Hayloft Wine Bar and an optional wine tasting downstairs by the fire. We'll provide hot tea and cocoa in the morning and a packed lunch, information on where to rent snowshoes (we have a few pair available for rent), brief instruction and a day of winter fun. We'll also provide tips and lists for what to wear, bring and do in enjoy to enjoy a safe cold weather outing. You supply the adventurous spirit and the desire to get out and savor an active, crisp winter's day in the company of other nature lovers.
