Dear Fellow Outdoor Adventurers,
We have just returned from guiding the Tour du Mont Blanc (let us know if you'd like a link to the slide show) and are enjoying a beautiful mid-summer at our Vermont cabin before heading off to guide a trip in Romania. Here's some of our most recent news:
- Snowshoeing in Vermont ... The Movie: In January we were accompanied by television cameras on an inn to inn snowshoeing trip that we led for REI Adventures, one of our Vermont partners. Check it out at the Channel 3 Burlington (Vermont) web site. Make sure to click on the movie camera next to "inn to inn winter vacations".
- 2008 schedule: We are excited to offer for the first time a trip to the beautiful Sierra de Guara in the Spanish Pyrenees. Additionally, we will be organizing a number of private and self-guided departures, including a family trip to the Dolomites, another family trip toSwitzerland, and a trip to Romania for a group of friends. Our 2008 schedule includes a combination of private trips for families and groups of friends, trips for the public, and self-guided trips in our two primary regions of expertise: Europe and New England, especially Vermont. We'll focus on walking and hiking, and will also offer bicycling, snowshoeing and cross country skiing trips. Stay tuned and stay in touch with your travel dreams for the year to come. Visit our Destinations and Activities page for our specific Adventure Menu.
- Coming attractions: We are in the planning stages for a spring 2009 trip to Sicily for a private group. Please stay tuned as we also plan to roll this trip out to the public as well. We'll also be introducing a prototype guided Haute Route (Switzerland) trip, and will be offering a public version of the private Romania trip that we are planning for a group of friends this summer.
- Slide presentations: We presented Cinque Terre, Italy: Hiking Between Sky and Sea at the Appalachian Mountain Club in Bethel, Connecticut on February 26. We did an encore at the Rye (New York) Public Library on March 30. We love to make old-fashioned, in-person slide presentations to community groups and outing clubs. There is no charge for in-person shows. Please call us at 866-533-4361 (toll free in the U.S.) or 203-840-0295, or send an email to info@bredeson.com.
You can also join us on an armchair travelogue by requesting a link to our on-line photo albums (see the link below).
- Vermont inn-to-inn skiing, snowshoeing, bicycling and hiking: As many of my outdoor friends know, I may spend the majority of my time in Connecticut (USA) but my heart has been kidnapped by Vermont, the Green Mountain state where my family and I have a cabin in the woods on top of a small mountain. Please click here for specifics of our Vermont trips.
Thank you for allowing me to share this adventure news with you.
Best,
Deborah Lewis
